I was fortunate enough to spend the last 10 days in the Hawaiian islands of Oahu and Kauai. In connecting with the physical Earth, the islands' beautiful history and culture, and the people I found many parts of myself I thought I'd left. Both islands exist in such geographic isolation and much of Kauai's foliage remains untouched. To be surrounded by so much Earth and water, all at once, was incredibly healing.
From the Byodo-In and Pearl Habor memorial in Oahu to the Waimea Canyons and Fern Grotto in Kauai, I am forever grateful for the warm welcome these islands gave me as they allowed me to explore their sacred sites.
May you return to the familiar embrace of Gaia!
