Greetings, little croissant rolls. As you and I both know, this hiatus has been long overdue. I've recently invested in makeup to amp up my everyday looks. Lately, eyebrows have been a cool feature to accentuate with the help of Elf and Anastasia products. In this post, you'll get a nice product review of the items pictured, as well as a little update on what to expect from this blog.
I picked up the Elf eyebrow kit from my campus store a couple months ago and I'm in love. It's compact, easy to use, and does a great job of accentuating my brows. I use Elf brushes to apply the wax and powder; both the eyebrow kit and the applicators are under $5.
I also purchased Anastasia's Express eyebrow kit when I visited Sephora the other day and I love the wax base coat that comes with it! I'm also learning how to use highlight, which is included in the kit, and I'm really liking the results. My arches appear much more present, without looking too extreme.
The foundation pictured in the slideshow above is Clinique's Even Better Foundation in the shade Beige (#80). Since I've moved to the East Coast, I noticed my complexion lost quite a bit of its color and as a result I've had to transition to a lighter shade of foundation. All is well though, this match is a perfect fit. The trick I usually do when it comes to applying foundation is pretty simple.
Over the years, I've noticed that I don't like the way my skin feels with just foundation. Even though I moisturize before and apply primer, it still feels odd against my skin. So, I've learned to blend moisturizer and foundation together before applying. It also helps to save foundation product when you mix the two and results in especially dewey looking skin!
I'm nowhere near makeup artist status, but these are some products and tips that have benefited me over time. If you're interested in reading more about skincare, beauty, or anything else please feel free to shoot me an email or comment below!
As always, stay tuned for the next post and happy holidays to everyone!
