Hello, all! I'm sitting in my room in San Diego thinking about all the fun foods I have yet to try once I return to school in D.C after break. It's funny, I've missed Mexican food so much and now that I'm back in California, all I can think about is the new places in D.C I want to visit!
Here are two yummy places that the girls and I tried during finals week. Ever had a sushi burrito? Neither had I until my roomie suggested we try Buredo. It's a neat, fusion restaurant that blends traditional Japanese ingredients with other global finds and crafts them into handheld burritos. They have eight styles on the menu, but of course you can customize it to your likings. I tried the Sofie and it was delicious! I loved the Sriracha mayonnaise, it was definitely unlike anything I'd ever tasted.
After our adventure to Buredo, we decided to try D.C's famous Milk bar to try the cereal milk everyone raves about. It's the sister store of Momofuko! Browse the menu (and keep an eye out for the cereal milk + soft serve); if you have any suggestions, let me know in the comments or shoot me an email. I would love to give anything on the menu a go.
I look forward to exploring D.C's food scene and I hope you'll all follow me along the way! Until next post, friends.
