Light pours into every building and I can't help but feel ensconced by this sense of freedom from confinement. My home for the next four years is a spacious campus with buildings pleasing to the eyes on every corner of the quad. The School of International Service, by far, is my favorite place to study. Sunlight streams through the glass windows and even on cloudy days, the building is illuminated from the hardwood floors to the sky high ceiling.
Being surrounded by open air and space is incredibly beneficial. In preparation for the stressful, hectic buzz of the fall semester, I've found that there are many ways to clear one's mind. In the short week that I've been on campus, surrounding myself with nature and art has helped to eliminate any stressors in my life. It's become easier to look upward, because that's where ambitions lay.
