I hope you've all had a productive week! To kick off your weekend, I have an in-home face mask that you're going to LOVE. As part of Radiant Collective's A Match(a) Made in Heaven series, I've researched ways you can put green tea powder (matcha) into everyday usage. For today's post, I have a quick tutorial for how you can make a Matcha Yogurt Face Mask! Let's get started.
There are only two necessary ingredients that you need for this face mask: plain yogurt and (can you guess?) matcha!
Sugar is one thing to be cautious of when choosing which matcha product you're going to use. Make sure you are not using sugar on your face! The fewer additives in the matcha, the better.
Now, you just mix the matcha powder in with the yogurt until it's completely blended. I added a little bit of honey to the mixture; you can also experiment with banana or clay!
Since the yogurt was fresh out of the fridge, it had a nice cooling effect on the skin. I've never used a yogurt mask, but I'm definitely now a fan! This felt incredible.
As you can tell, I absolutely love the way it turned out! My friend and I had so much fun during the entire process. After leaving this on for about 15-20 minutes or until it's completely dried, be sure to wash off the mask and moisturize. I promise you, your skin will feel rejuvenated and soft! It even seems like it restored some color to my face, which is much needed in this winter weather.
If you have leftover mixture left, you can store it in little containers for up to 2 days. Keep in the fridge until next usage.
This face mask would make for an adorable gift for your friends and family! Scoop the leftover mask into cosmetic pots and store in fridge.
I hope you all have fun making this face mask! Enjoy your weekend and continue to take care of yourselves.
Until next time, loves.
