Happy June, everyone! This month at FloreaShelby, I want to celebrate safe spaces.
When I spend hours in my room, it's not because I don't want to interact with other people or immerse myself in the outside world. (Sometimes that's true). My room is my escape, my safe place, home of positive energy and good vibes. I've decorated it with Christmas lights, paintings, plants, and calming scents.
Recently, I've been very interested in healing crystals and aromatherapy for creating a safe space. I turn to these methods to help calm my nerves and prevent negative thoughts from taking over. Do you know the impact that a single negative thought can have on your body? It starts in your head, which creates bad energy that moves its way down your system. Soon your organs may start to experience issues, and your immune system weakens. That's why we're more likely to get sick when we're stressed. One negative thought sparks a chain reaction in your body, tampering with systems that once functioned normally.
Wearing crystals and keeping them around in my room, along with introducing incense sticks and candles, has been helpful in creating a negative vibe free zone. *I purchased the crystals pictured to the right from healingcrystals.com! Super cheap and they shipped quickly. The website also provides lots of information about the crystals, like how to use and maintain them.
By filling my bathroom and the area around where I sleep with positive energy, it's one less thing I have to worry about. I find solace in the crystals, I have faith in their healing abilities as well as my own! Intention setting is a practice taught through yoga, but it is also closely linked to healing crystals. When you set positive or productive intentions for yourself, it's like making little mental goals. I feel comforted knowing that the healing crystals will provide additional support in helping me achieve these goals.
It's not always easy to move forward, but it's healthier. I hate when my thoughts think me, and I am doing what I can to prevent negative thinking from taking over. I wish you all peace and love in this new month of June!
