Hello, all! The other night I realized I was out of St. Ive's facial scrub, which is the brand I usually use when I'm not using my own self-made products, so I decided to whip up a new salt scrub. While I do have the Matcha Salt Scrub that I designed for Epic Sky, I wanted to do something new and easy. Here's a quick DIY for you all, I didn't have to buy any new ingredients for this. I suggest that you always have coconut oil, tea tree oil, shea butter, and other essential oils in the house. They're handy to have and most of my DIYs consist of those ingredients, too, so that's a bonus!
The instructions are super simple. Your ingredients will be table (or sea) salt, liquid coconut oil (just melt it if you've got the solid form), tea tree oil, and an essential oil of your choosing. I decided on rosemary.
There are no exact measurements here, I just sort of eyeballed it. I filled a mason jar about one-fourths with salt, tossed in maybe a table spoon of coconut oil, a few drops of tea tree oil, and the same for the rosemary oil. I melted about two table spoons of shea butter and added that to the mixture.
The more experimental you get with your DIYs, the more fun it is to record the results! My skin feels happy and healthy when I can make my own products, because I know they're safe to use. This one in particular is great for removing blackheads and dead skin cells. You'll love how soft your face is - just don't touch it too much!
Have fun with this! Peace and love, y'all.
