Good afternoon, everyone! July has been so busy for me, filled with finishing projects and researching ways to start more. I recently published a poem to Margins Magazine, launched the Curly Adventures, and began collaborating with some natural skincare lines. I was beyond thrilled when I found DedCool, a Los Angeles based vegan brand that carries unisex products.
I was fortunate enough to collaborate with this incredible brand! I reached out to them and they agreed to send me their products at a discount, as well as include some additional products to try. I purchased three of their products and they threw in a couple goodies. Let's see what's in this DedCool haul.
I'm always looking for a new chapstick to try out because I don't have a go-to favorite. And because I switch up my chapsticks so often, I was really looking forward to trying out DedCool's "Chazsticks." I purchased Chazsticks 03 and 04 - I don't even think I can choose which one I like best, honestly. They come in the thickest tubes I've ever seen for chapsticks, so you get more product that your average Burt's Bee's or generic brand chapstick! It rolls on smoothly without being waxy, cakey, or overly glossy. It's just the right amount of moisture and I don't even need to apply it that often. Two thumbs up for the Chazsticks! And the name is super cute, too.
The next thing I purchased from DedCool was their hand cream. Now, I like to keep my bag stocked with all sorts of things. I have chapstick, wet towelettes, pads/tampons, powder, a brush to apply that powder, moisturizer, deodorant, hair ties, and healing crystals. But can you believe I don't have any hand cream? It's so annoying when I reach into my giant bag, hoping some hand cream will appear Mary Poppins style, and it's just not there. Because I didn't pack any. Because I didn't HAVE any. So now that I have a tube of DedCool hand cream in my purse, I can honestly say that I am prepared.
I ordered Hand Cream 05, which is vanilla scented. It's so subtle that I almost forgot it was scented in the first place. The consistency of this product is great; not too thick, not too liquid-y. Once I run out of this tube I'll probably get Hand Cream 06, their cocovanilla scent. For $20, it's definitely worth what you get.
And of course, I'm loving the fact that all their products are natural. DedCool has given me some serious inspiration for the skincare line I hope to launch sometime in my life.
DedCool is part of the LaNatura family, another natural business that aims to bring quality, non-toxic products to the mainstream marketplace. Included in my DedCool order was a sample of LaNatura's Eucalyptus Leaf Foaming Scrub. The smell was really refreshing and I enjoyed using the sample size in the shower. I'm a huge sucker for exfoliants, as you can tell by how often I talk about making and buying scrubs, so this was a spot-on sample for them to send me. I would love to collaborate with LaNatura at some point and learn more about how they launched such a successful brand!
I'm very happy with my purchases from the DedCool collaboration! I will always support brands with ethical missions, especially if it involves natural, cruelty-free manufacturing. I want to thank DedCool for agreeing to collaborate with me for my first product promotion ever! And for all my lovely readers, don't be scared to send me some natural brands that have been on your radar. I'm always down to try a new skincare product.
