Blessed sunrise ad Happy New Year! I shared this skincare post on my Instagram and Twitter earlier this week but wanted to elaborate a bit more. It's been quite a while since I made a skincare post - but I did do a DIY soap one in case you missed it. I'm preparing to vacation in Hawaii for a couple weeks and once the spring semester starts, I'm going to dedicate more time to creating my skincare and healing products. I'm very excited to see what I can create.
My skin has been absolutely amazing for months. It hasn't been that bad since the late spring, with occasional small breakouts before I get my period, but overall my skin and I have been getting along swimmingly. I attribute a lot of this to my increased tea intake and dairy elimination. I try really hard not to consume a lot of dairy anymore, with ice cream and cheese with some foods being a weakness, and my skin is thanking me for that decision!
In the photo on the top right, you'll see all the products on my face in the picture on the left. I'm using the last bit of grapeseed oil that I had in my house, because I couldn't afford to bring too many heavy things from my apartment in D.C! I use this after I've washed with a cleanser and toned with witch hazel. You can read about my love for carrier oils here and here.
That's the most recent skincare routine, with occasional appearances from the following items:
- Sheet mask
- Exfoliating scrub
- Floral facial steams
- Kaolin clay masks with tea tree, rosehip oil and lavender oil
- Straight up Vitamin E oil
That's all for today, everyone! Have an incredible New Year's Day and may you pour your love into your manifestations to assure that 2018 is exactly what you want it to be.
