Dew is always in. It's a year round look and an indicator that your skin is hydrated, moisturized and ready for the summer sun! Spring is coming to a close and within a month, it'll be early summer. My main skin concerns are hydration and clarity; I'm trying to eat healthier and drink more water so my skin will glow from within.
Here are the products in my late spring skin and makeup routine.
Homemade Rosewater Serum
This serum is amazing and it never fails to keep my skin feeling fresh. You can learn how to make it here, but also be sure to keep up with my social media! I'm planning to sell and ship serums this summer for $8 a bottle.
Serums are excellent in the summer because they're water based and lighter than many cream moisturizers. I like to layer the Glossier priming moisturizer over my rosewater serum for extra moisture. I wear this serum throughout the day and at night after I've washed my face.
Glossier Priming Moisturizer
I loved the Rich Priming Moisturizer for the winter months, but I knew that I'd need a lighter coat for the spring months. This moisturizer leaves my skin looking really, really hydrated. It's not a very thick consistency, it's almost a little runny. I was told to use upward strokes when rubbing it into my skin and that actually does help make my skin look more alive. It's an investment, for sure, but like all Glossier products it's worth it.
So to conclude, as you all know skincare has been a part of my life for years. If you read my skincare story here, you'll remember that we all have our own skincare journeys. Much of this blog centers around maintaining your mind, body and soul in a way that is holistic and easy to incorporate into your life. I hope that you all feel empowered. Never let anyone make you feel as though your skincare journey isn't valid. Much love.
