Whether you're a dedicated FloreaShelby fan or you've only recently just stumbled upon my blog, you've probably noticed that there aren't a lot of fashion posts here. I told myself that over the summer, I would test the waters with the content on my blog. My best friend Francine and I got together one Friday afternoon with an idea in mind. That idea was to fill my kitchen with balloons and capture the fun, carefree mood behind my summer outfits. You can view Francine's other graphic design work here. Not only is she an incredible artist, but she's been my creative partner in countless (unfinished) projects.
I've put together three outfits that pair my favorite two summer pieces: headwraps and crop tops. They're both super accessible and easy to find. As usual, I'll provide links for the clothing items! Without further ado, here is my first lookbook!
This look is a classic pairing of black, white, and neutral tones. I've had this crop top for ages and I would usually wear it with high waisted shorts. I only recently started liking more coverage, so I started buying midi skirts. The skirt is from Forever21 (similar one here), I love the way it drapes on me. And with every great skirt, it has pockets! The crop top is sold out from Urban Outfitters, but you can pick up a similar one here and here. As for the headwrap, it's also from Forever21. This scarf was a great deal because it was under $15. And if you're unsure how to tie your scarf, stay tuned for another episode of the Curly Adventures!
Now I was having too much fun sitting in the giant pile of balloons, so you can't see my pants. That's okay, it's unimportant. This is probably my favorite outfit from the photoshoot because it's such a bright headwrap. The scarf belongs to my mom and we don't really remember where we bought it from, but fortunately this is the kind of piece you can find ANYWHERE. Just look for thin, cotton scarves. The crop top is an American Apparel classic.
The third and final outfit includes my newest headwrap from The Wrap Life, called Amethyst. Their new summer lookbook features a bunch of new colors of the pastel variety. My crop top is from Urban Outfitters, the shorts are thrifted.
I try to make my fashion fun, colorful, and comfortable. There are so many different combinations to experiment with when it comes to style. Thank you for viewing my first lookbook! If you want to see more, be sure to like this post and shoot me and email over at email@example.com.
Peace and love, friends.
